Gl13 H3 treated Radiata Pine Beams were used to create a 70 metre long timber pergola façade as a focal point for the Brandy Creek Day Spa development.
The GLT timber along the facade is spaced at 1m centres to reflect the spacing of the vine fields that surrounds the property. The simple statement in the landscape appears effortless: black cypress cladding combined with black glulam beams. However, getting the perspectives as well as the amount of privacy required made this simple design considerably more complex. “The place should resonate with a sense of calm and tranquillity even if the process required considerable effort,” Chris McCue, Director of Carr Design.
The Treated pine beams were selected for their durability and because they have excellent capacity to be stained to suit almost any colour tone, in this instance black. H3 Treated beams ensure a life span of 25+ years
